Job Summary

JOB TITLE: Night Senior Care Assistant LOCATION: Dorchester SALARY: £14.50 – £14.75 As a Night Senior Care Assistant, you will lead a team of carers, ensuring that residents receive high-quality care during the night shift. You will oversee resident care, allocate tasks, and ensure compliance with care policies and procedures. You will be responsible for maintaining accurate resident records, liaising with healthcare professionals, and managing any incidents or concerns. In the absence of the Registered Manager or Deputy Manager, you will ensure the smooth operation of the home. Key Responsibilities: Lead and support the care team during the night shift. Ensure effective communication and continuity of care through shift handovers. Assist with personal care, mobility, and wellbeing of residents. Administer prescribed medication and manage health records. Supervise staff and ensure accurate documentation of incidents and health updates. Act as a Keyworker for assigned residents and support care plan reviews. Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, including fire safety and infection control.

Experience

Requirements:
  • Experience in a care setting
  • Strong leadership and organisational skills
  • Ability to work under pressure and remain calm in emergencies
  • Good communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Ability to support residents with physical and emotional needs
  • Understanding of care plan development and compliance with health regulations
  • Willingness to undergo a DBS check
