This role of a Junior Accountant in an FMCG business, requires a diligent professional who possesses a solid understanding of accounting principles and has the ability to handle various finance-related tasks. The role is based in South West London (Battersea) and the successful candidate will be required to work full time in the office (5 days per week).

The company is an FMCG (drinks) wholesaler, that are looking for a Junior Accountant to join the small finance team. The role will report directly into the Head of Finance and will have a wealth of exposure across the full company accounts. They have a comprehensive portfolio of products, and consistently delivers high-quality offerings to its broad customer base. The company is growing over the next year and is looking to add to the headcount as they bring the finance operations back in-house.
Description
The successful Junior Accountant will:
- Assist in the preparation of financial reports
- End to end management of the Accounts Payable ledger
- Processing of the purchase ledger invoices
- Management of the payment runs
- Bank reconciliations
- Supplier statement reconciliations
- Support the Accounting and Finance department in budgeting and forecasting
- Credit Card reconciliations and expense processing
- Ad hoc work
Profile
A successful Junior Accountant should have:
- MUST have a prior working knowledge of the system Sage 200 (or Sage 50)
- Have approximately 1-2 years of experience in Accounts Payable – ideally from a stock based industry
- Studying towards the ACCA, CIMA or AAT qualification
- Strong Excel skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Team player and eager to develop through the team
- Happy to work 5 days a week in the South West London office
