Overview
We are currently seeking a IT Software Procurement Manager, to work with our global FMCG client, renowned for many household & personal care products, and become an integral part of their fast-paced FMCG environment.
The position is based in the City of London. This is a full-time temporary role for 6 months, requiring 36.25 hours per week, Monday to Friday. Compensation for this role is competitive, paying up to £61,000 per annum, pro rata, depending upon experience.
The role currently offers a mix of remote and onsite working, subject to adjustment based on business requirements.
ABOUT IT Procurement
This role will be supporting global services spend in the areas for ERP including Finance, Legal and Sustainability to name a few supporting the IT Portfolio lead.
In this portfolio, the business has long-term partnerships with global Tier 1 providers such as Accenture.
The successful applicant requires the capability to be able to interact with these types of vendors in a collaborative approach while still being able to represent and defend the companies’ interests.
The successful applicant will help the Portfolio lead increase efficiency by driving scale where it makes sense, decreasing fragmentation, pooling expertise across geographies, prioritizing higher impact spend areas, leveraging technology and data. Drive performance that unlocks, have a “can do attitude” and be able to hit the ground running with minimum supervision.
The role will foster and build a culture of collaboration and agility to enable an efficient project rollout. It will ensure close alignment in strategy with IT Service Line Leads, Finance partners, Legal partners, Procurement Leadership team and BU Procurement Directors by defining and utilizing a robust support network for the whole team and providing clarity on the ways of works and roles and responsibilities.
Key Accountabilities
- Identify, initiate and sustain direct interactions with appropriate internal stakeholders/ functional/operating teams within the business to drive “buying” behavior change required to meet business project objectives and facilitate implementation of the approved sourcing strategies.
- Develop appropriate sourcing strategies for cluster of spend within area of responsibility.
- Participate in or lead Regional/Global Teams (as appropriate) for area of responsibility.
- Providing business partner services and demonstrating value of professional supply management approach areas of business that have traditionally “gone it alone”.
- Working across multiple business operating units, each with a different culture, processes and demands.
- Partner with Transformation Leadership team to understand the business needs, bring deep expertise and insights and develop procurement sourcing strategy and supplier relationship management strategy.
- Work closely and align with the IT Portfolio Lead specifically on provider strategies and execution.
- Delivery against financial targets and other KPIs (including value delivery) as per business plan objectives, accountable for delivery of results from all markets across the globe, PMUs, Divisions and functions globally.
- Develop and drive vendor rationalization in the set Portfolio at global level and market level by closely working with regional procurement leads including Enterprise Architect team and other Service Lines
- Ensure Portfolio fundamentals (i.e. data consistency, data insights, recurring stakeholder communications, contracts, etc.) are all put in place.
- Demonstrate strong contract skills with deep knowledge of contracting and negotiation of contracts.
- Ensure the Procurement Minimum Standards & Ways of Working are always applied and being an advocate of the Minimum Standards.
Qualification/experience
- 5 years of relevant business experience, with strong software and IT services experience
- Strategic sourcing, portfolio strategy experience in managing complex portfolio/category, at global or multi-regional level.
- Setting up contracts and commercial terms with suppliers, with strong contract skills and deep knowledge of contracting and negotiation.
- Understanding of supply market, value chain, and (Desirable FMCG background). Knowledge of ERP Vendors (E.g. SAP, Oracle Microsoft, IBM) A.I Commercials would be a strong plus.
- Experience in strategic supplier relationship management.
- Experience in large-scale project management.
