Director of Finance – Iraq
We are working with a 5-star Hotel in Iraq that is looking for to strenghtne their team by adding a Director of Finance. The Director of Finance will be responsible for the hotel’s financial health through strategic planning, budgeting, accounting, and risk management. This role will report to the GM.
Duties required:
- Develop and implement financial strategies to achieve hotel goals and ensure profitability.
- Budgeting and forecasting
- Manage all financial accounting records, prepare monthly financial statements, and provide accurate and timely financial reports to management.
- Ensure the hotel has adequate cash flow, manage all payments and receipts, and monitor debtors and creditors to maximize cash flow
- Internal controls and risk management
- Provide financial advice and support to the General Manager and other department heads, and communicate financial information to key stakeholders.
- Operational support
What we are looking for:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or Business Administration (mandatory)
- Master’s Degree or MBA (preferred)
- Professional certifications: ACCA, CPA, CMA, or equivalent (strong advantage)
- Strong knowledge of IFRS and hospitality accounting standards
- Minimum 8–10 years finance experience
- Minimum 3 years in a senior finance leadership role in 5-star hotels or international hospitality brands
- Experience with Logomind, PMS, POS, and ERP systems (Opera PMS, MICROS, MC, Sun/LOGO/SAP)
- Familiarity with audit processes (internal & external)
- Experience managing multi-cultural teams
Salary package: USD3500 – 4500 + family benefits (up to 3 dependants)
